Shelly inspired me in so many ways way back when. I actually began composing this on the Lake Erie shoreline back in the early ‘80’s where Shelly and I would take our guitars and mandolins and play for the waves, clouds, and breezes. Good times I greatly miss. I re-recorded it in 2002.
I have fond memories of going to visit her at her folks back in the day…her Mom was a Pepsi addict who always enjoyed having me as her “drinking buddy” - sending me into the basement to bring up some ice cold bottles of Pepsi for her and me while Shelly got ready to go out. “Mrs. G” stored more cases of the stuff than some convenient stores!
So many great memories back then. Thanks Shell for all of them.
